Smart Microbial Fuel Cell
A live dashboard for our MFC bioreactor — bacteria turn organic waste into electricity, and this page watches the water quality (TDS) that tells us how the reaction is going.

How it works
From organic waste to a live reading
- 01
Microbes break down waste
Bacteria in the anode chamber digest organic matter in the substrate, releasing electrons as a by-product of their metabolism.
- 02
Electrons become current
Freed electrons travel through an external circuit toward the cathode, generating a small but steady electrical current.
- 03
The sensor watches the water
A TDS probe logs how much dissolved material remains in the chamber, timestamped and streamed straight to this dashboard.
